Who gives this warranty
This warranty against defects is given by CCTV Installation Melbourne (ABN 37 169 897 545), 45 Evergreen Crescent, Craigieburn VIC 3064. Call 03 8609 6092 or email sales@cctvmelb.com.au.
Workmanship warranty
We provide a seven year warranty on our installation workmanship, running from the date we complete the installation. If a fault arises within that period from the way we installed, mounted, terminated or configured your system, we will return and put it right at no cost to you.
Equipment warranty
Cameras, recorders, alarm panels, sensors, intercoms and other hardware are covered by the warranty offered by their manufacturer, for the period that manufacturer sets. We supply equipment from established brands, and we will manage the claim process with the manufacturer on your behalf at no charge.
What is not covered
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, tampering, storm, flood, fire, power surge, vandalism or theft; work carried out on the system by others; equipment that was not supplied or installed by us; or ordinary consumables such as batteries.
How to make a claim
Call 03 8609 6092 or email sales@cctvmelb.com.au with your installation address and a description of the fault. We will arrange a time to attend, diagnose the issue, and where it falls within this warranty, repair or replace it at no charge to you. We bear the cost of making a claim under this warranty, including attendance and labour. If the fault turns out to fall outside this warranty, we will tell you what it will cost to put right before we do any work.
Transferring this warranty
If you sell the property, the remainder of the workmanship warranty passes to the new owner. Ask them to quote the original installation address when they call.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled: to cancel your service contract with us; and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, those rights.
